Designs have been developed for a new build creek-side house in mid Cornwall. Set on a densely wooded and steeply sloping site, the house is split over three floors and enjoys unrivalled views to the sailing areas of Carrick Roads.
The lower ground floor houses a double garage, plant room and utility space, with the four double bedrooms on the middle floor, and an open plan kitchen / dining room, and separate living space on the upper floor. A central staircase brings light deep into the space and helps to orientate the plan.
The proposal uses a combination of charred and natural timber cladding, with the views maximised through the specification of thin profile aluminium framed glazing. The deep, southerly facing facades provide generous balcony space and solar shading.
